January 9, 2009 "Equine therapy was recommended to help my son, but wound up being a very positive program for our entire family.
For the past ten years, traditional talk therapies for my son have not worked. In fact, they have been causing him to shut down entirely. We have tried everything we could possibly to think of since he was 3 years old to control his outbursts of anger and aggression. In fact, after he had spent his second term at Shodair Children's Hospital, I had lost hope of him ever returing home to live permanently. To say that he has responded well to the equine therapy is an understatment. Something has finally cliked in him and, not only is he identifying his emotions and how to control them, he has also begun to see those things in others and how that affects him. These are major hurdles for him.
In addition to the problems we have endured with my son, my husband and I separated in 2007. We continued to work on the relationship but were making little progress together. Since my husband began participation in the equine therapy with me and our two boys, we have made great strides in reconcillation.
The future for our family, not only as a whole, but as individuals, looks a lot brighter. Equine therapy has succeeded where years of talk therapy have failed miserably. I highly recemmend this program to a large range of individuals and families that need help with emotionaly learning and growth."

Communication does not have to be verbal I learned that barriers can be overcome if people work together To use all of the resources when working on tasks I learned that I can trust many of my coworkers more than I previusly thought We can work together as a team and get along A team brings more talent and creativity than you might think It showed all of us have leadership capabilities/skills Communication is important Ask and listen because employees have something to offerFirst Interstate Bank Finance Department, 2005
"Oh my gosh! You did a fantastic job showing the students how equine facilitated therapy works! They talked about it in the car all the way home. Thank you so much for putting together the activities and really showing the students how it feels and how it works. I think you are doing an excellent job and you are truely a master as a horse specialist. It was wonderful.
